THROCKLEY FIRST SCHOOL: SETTING THE RECORD STRAIGHT

It is expected the old Throckley First School site on Coach Road will become vacant later this year.
The Lib Dem councillors have previously called for a formal consultation involving local residents on future use of the site.
It has been confirmed that no decision has been taken on using the site for housing.
Councillor Mike Lynch said: "Any formal proposal would be the subject of a full consultation with local residents and to an acceptable financial and business case.
"The Newburn Ward Liberal Democrat Team will make sure that your views are sought and that the best use is made of this site for our community."
