Newcastle upon Tyne Liberal Democrats Events

Newcastle Liberal Democrats invite you to an Autumn Dinner on Friday 7 November 2025 in the Cuthbert Suite of The Copthorne Hotel. 

Dinner will be three courses, with a choice of three options* for each course. Mains are served with a choice of seasonal vegetables and potatoes, and desserts with the option of vegan cream alternatives. The meal will be followed by tea, coffee and mints. 

The Cuthbert Bar takes card payments but you can order bottles of wine for your table in advance. Details of wine selection, prices, and how to order will be in your booking confirmation email. 

Dress code is smart and glamorous!

Please arrive by 7pm for 7.30pm - an Order of Service will be available on the night, plus our guest speaker Tom Morrison, MP for Cheadle will be available before the meal for photographs, and is scheduled to speak at 9.15pm. The meal will be followed by an auction.

The car park is above the hotel entrance and a £5 fee is payable via a machine in the hotel reception. 

Bookings close at 6pm on Friday 31 October.

Starter

• Onion soup with a crusty bread roll
• Smoked slivers of chicken and peppercorn salad
• Prawn cocktail

Main course

• Seared breast of chicken with a basil sauce
• Baked cod wrapped in leek, served with a wild mushroom jus
• Mediterranean olive tart, served with a tomato sauce

Dessert

• Lemon and mango posset
• Apple tart and crème fraîche
• Fruit salad and crème Chantilly
