POLICE CRACKDOWN ON MOTORBIKE YOBS

16 Oct 2009

Police are taking action against motorbikes after complaints from residents and councillors across the Outer West of Newcastle.

Reports included bikes being ridden dangerously on roads and fields and causing noise and disruption.

Focus Editor James Kenyon said: "Motorbikes and mini-motos are a real nuisance locally and can frequently be dangerous to pedestrians by the way they are ridden.

"We are pleased the police are taking action, as I am sure, will local residents."
