POLICE CRACKDOWN ON MOTORBIKE YOBS

23 Oct 2009

Police are taking action against motorbikes after complaints from residents and councillors in the Outer West.

Reports included bikes being ridden dangerously on roads and fields and causing noise and disruption.

Councillor Mike Curthoys said: "Motorbikes and mini-motos are a real nuisance in parts of Newburn Ward and can frequently be dangerous to pedestrians by the way they are ridden.

"We are pleased the police are taking action."
