LOCAL PLAY AREAS SET FOR BOOST

The Newburn Ward Committee is consulting with residents about plans to upgrade local play areas.
Newcastle has become a Play Pathfinder meaning the city council gets £1.5m to spend on play areas across the city.
Focus Editor Eileen Ball said: "The Ward Committee is working with residents to find the best way to spend this money."
