Gosforth Junior High is among four schools in Newcastle to be rebuilt.

The new look school will be on the existing site and is part of the city-wide Building Schools for the Future project.

Facilities include a new specialist visually-impaired student unit as well as a kitchen garden.

The other schools that are part of the second phase of the programme are St Mary's RC Comprehensive, Sir Charles Parsons Special School and Walker Technology College.
