Fawdon Park Forgotten by Newcastle Labour

For a long time, Fawdon and West Gosforth Liberal Democrat councillors, Rob, John and Peter have been calling for proper investment in Fawdon Park, but the Labour administration continues to ignore the problem.

The park’s playing surface and equipment are in a poor state, and the lack of maintenance has left many local families disappointed. We wrote to the Council to ask if any funding was available for Fawdon Park through what they call a “Forward Plan.” The response we received was simply that there was no money, but they would look into it.

We also asked about unspent development money that could be used to improve the park, but we’ve had no reply.

It’s clear Labour are not interested in Fawdon Park or the people who use it. The Liberal Democrats will keep fighting to make sure this community space gets the attention and investment it deserves. Local families should be able to enjoy a park that is safe, welcoming and properly looked after.
