This Evening Chronicle article and straw poll is the result of a motion put forward by the Liberal Democrats at Newcastle City Council.
In it, Cllr Robin Ashby said "Local people would rather have Bosson than Baird as the bss" - Sgt Bosson being the elader of the police team covering northern Gosforth
