COUNCIL FUNDS EXTRA YOUTH SESSIONS

The city council is funding extra sessions at Slatyford Youth Centre and FAR Community Centre on Friday nights.
The council is also reviewing its Youth Service to try and get the right balance between work in youth centres and work on the streets.
Meanwhile, Denton Burn Community Centre will become a community hub, meaning it will attract more funds and activities.
Councillor PJ Morrissey says: "This is the first time that extra sessions like this have been put on in Fenham.
"Colin and I are also working with the Denton Burn Community Centre to provide even more activities."
