North Heaton Councillors KAREN, DOREEN and GREG have allocated the first batch of this financial year's road and pavement improvement projects for the ward.

We are planning a pavement replacement scheme for the North Heaton parts of Warton, Tosson, and Trewhitt Terraces.

Cartington Terrace (west) and Kirkleatham Gardens will be resurfaced, and Newton Place will get a traffic / parking scheme. We have asked the highways department to cost up a number of further schemes and are awaiting more info before committing the remaining £250,000 of North Heaton's road budget next month.

Our "shopping list" includes resurfacing Southlands and Alexandra Road, pavement improvements in Cochrane Park, and back lane repairs off Chillingham Road - we will try to deliver as many of these as we can with the funds available!
