Extend the footpath to Windsor Way bus stop

We, the undersigned residents of Ascot Court and the neighbouring houses close to the bus stop on Windsor Way, respectfully request that Newcastle City Council extend the existing footpath which currently ends abruptly on the north side of Ascot Court, where it meets the public open space maintained by the Council.

At present, pedestrians are required to walk along the road or across the grassed area to reach the bus stop on Windsor Way. This presents safety concerns, particularly during hours of darkness, poor weather, or when the ground is muddy or slippery. A continuous paved footpath would provide a safer, more accessible route for all residents, including those with mobility issues, prams, or young children.

We therefore ask the Council to consider and approve the continuation of the footpath to ensure safe pedestrian access between Ascot Court and Windsor Way.
