Change of Government 2024

Following the General Election on Thursday 4th May 2024, the Liberal Democrats now have a record-breaking number of MPs in Parliament. We are the third largest Party, detrmined not demoralised like others.

In holding the Labour Government to account, they will be guided by the Liberal Democrats election campaign for a Fair Deal for the UK. Locally the Liberal Democrat candidates who campaigned to represent the five constituencies across Newcastle upon Tyne will remain in post as Parliamentary spokespeople.

You can also sign up to help our continuing campaign for a Fair Deal for Newcastle as well as the rest of the country - including pressing Labour to fulfill their election promises.
