Protect Kenton residents from dangerous parking

Rob Austin the editor of the Lib Dem Focus Newsletter for Kenton Ward has hit out at the council for not protecting the North Kenton area from dangerous parking.

Speaking to the Chronicle Online Rob said it is only a matter of time before someone is injured.  The problems exist primarily in the area of the local retail park and the Kenton Centre.

Rob told the Chronicle, "Some people are avoiding the area altogether and going elsewhere because it's so bad. One person said they nearly hit another car because there were cars parked up on both sides of the residential area and he was going down the road as another car was coming up.  He had to brake and said it was a near miss. It's only a matter of time before somebody is injured."

Time to take action

Rob is calling on the council to take immediate action and is planning to present them with ideas that he and local residents have drawn-up based on their experiences.
