A drama and training group for young people is in danger of being evicted from its base in St Nicholas Hospital, with its theatre being closed.

A fresh look is being taken at the future of the recreation ground and there has been early consultation with residents on all sides.

Local residents are to be consulted on proposals to move Fawdon Library into Fawdon Community Centre.

Since the end of May 2007, all of Fawdon Ward is covered by an order banning alcohol on the streets, in parks and in other public places.
