SAINSBURYS CONSIDERS EXPANSION

4.17.00am GMT Sun 30th Nov 2008

We have been advised that Sainsburys are considering expanding their store at Etherstone Avenue.

Councillor Greg Stone recently met with Sainsburys regional managers who confirmed that the company has acquired the site to the east of the store and are considering applying for permission to build a larger facility.

"However, it is not clear when an application may come forward," says Councillor Greg Stone.

"If an application is made, we would like to see the current access improved to make the existing junction on Etherstone safer.

"We would like to know your views on whether a larger store would be appropriate - please get in touch."
