30 MPH LIMIT FOR HEXHAM ROAD

A new 30mph speed limit has been introduced along Hexham Road.The limit is in force from Blucher Village to Throckley.

Signs advising motorists of the change in speed limit have been installed along the route. Electronic driver feedback signs are planned.

Councillor Mike Curthoys explains: "Many residents have rightly been concerned about the speed of traffic.

"Hopefully this new speed limit will improve road safety for local people and the many children that go to Walbottle Campus School."
