LOCAL ROAD SCHEME DELAYED

The planned traffic calming scheme for St Nicholas Avenue, The Grove and Moor Road North has been delayed again.

Four residents are to appeal against the widely agreed works - meaning the start is postponed.

Councillor Mike Cookson (pictured above with Ron Beadle and Peter Leggott) says: "We will continue to press for the earliest completion of this scheme."

Meanwhile residents on Grove Park are having problems with the original design and construction of the road.

Mike adds: "We will be working with residents to find a solution to these problems."
